Chocolate-Dipped Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients
  

Rice Krispy Treats

  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 10 oz marshmallows
  • 8 oz milk chocolate

Chocolate Dippings

  • 8 oz strawberry-flavored chocolate
  • 8 oz white chocolate
  • 8 oz milk chocolate

Sprinkles

  • Assorted sprinkles optional
  • Candies such as M&Ms, Skittles optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and well combined.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Press the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and let it cool and set.
  • Once the Rice Krispie treats have cooled and solidified, cut them into squares or desired shapes.
  • Prepare three separate bowls with each type of chocolate: milk chocolate, strawberry-flavored chocolate, and white chocolate. Melt each type of chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and fully melted.
  • Dip each Rice Krispie treat into the melted chocolate of your choice, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. You can use a spoon or a fork to help coat the treats evenly.
  • Place the dipped treats on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle rainbow sprinkles onto some of the treats and pink sprinkles onto others for added decoration.
  • Allow the chocolate to set and harden at room temperature or place them in the refrigerator for faster setting.
